Number of days between April 16th, 2018
and January 1st, 2019

The total number of days between Monday, April 16th, 2018 and Tuesday, January 1st, 2019 is 260 days.

This is equal to 8 months and 16 days.

This does not include the end date, so it's accurate if you're measuring your age in days, or the total days between the start and end date. But if you want the duration of an event that includes both the starting date and the ending date, then it would actually be 261 days.

If you're counting workdays or weekends, there are 186 weekdays and 74 weekend days.

If you include the end date of Jan 1, 2019 which is a Tuesday, then there would be 187 weekdays and 74 weekend days including both the starting Monday and the ending Tuesday.

260 days is equal to 37 weeks and 1 day.

The total time span from 2018-04-16 to 2019-01-01 is 6,240 hours.

This is equivalent to 374,400 minutes.

You can also convert 260 days to 22,464,000 seconds.

April 16th, 2018 is a Monday. It is the 106th day of the year, and in the 16th week of the year (assuming each week starts on a Monday), or the 2nd quarter of the year. There are 30 days in this month. 2018 is not a leap year, so there are 365 days in this year. The short form for this date used in the United States is 4/16/2018, and almost everywhere else in the world it's 16/4/2018.

January 1st, 2019 is a Tuesday. It is the 1st day of the year, and in the 1st week of the year (assuming each week starts on a Monday), or the 1st quarter of the year. There are 31 days in this month. 2019 is not a leap year, so there are 365 days in this year. The short form for this date is 1/1/2019.

This site provides an online date calculator to help you find the difference in the number of days between any two calendar dates. Simply enter the start and end date to calculate the duration of any event. You can also use this tool to determine how many days have passed since your birthday, or measure the amount of time until your baby's due date. The calculations use the Gregorian calendar, which was created in 1582 and later adopted in 1752 by Britain and the eastern part of what is now the United States. For best results, use dates after 1752 or verify any data if you are doing genealogy research. Historical calendars have many variations, including the ancient Roman calendar and the Julian calendar. Leap years are used to match the calendar year with the astronomical year. If you're trying to figure out the date that occurs in X days from today, switch to the Days From Now calculator instead.

EOSC-hub Week, 16-20 April 2018, Malaga, Spain

The first EOSC-hub Week took place on 16-20 April 2018 in Malaga, Spain. The week revolved around two major events: a public day, gathering over 170 stakeholders, and an EOSC-hub "all hands" meeting open only to EOSC-hub partners.

Public day, 16-17 April 2018, Trade Fairs and Congress Center of Málaga

The public day, sponsored by the EGI Foundation, the EUDAT CDI and the XDC project, welcomed the participation of service providers, representatives of the research communities and policy makers engaged in the establishment of the European Open Science Cloud. The day kicked-off with a keynote presentation by Augusto Burgueño Arjona, Head of the "eInfrastructure" Unit, Directorate General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG CONNECT). The programme comprised of four main tracks dedicated to users, service providers, policy and technology. Day 2 was structured around more specific e-infrastructures workshops, such as Computing and Data Management over Clouds with Indigo-Datacloud products, Coupling Data & HPC with EUDAT & PRACE, National e-Infrastructures reports on status and plans of national facilities and research community engagement, etc.

"All hands" Meeting, 18-20 April 2018, University of Malaga

After the EOSC-hub Kick-off meeting, the Malaga "all hands" Meeting was the first opportunity for the over 100 EOSC-hub partners to gather together and discuss the progress and the early achievements of the project. The participation to the "all hands" meeting was open ONLY to the EOSC-hub partners.

FitSMFoundation Training and Certification

FitSM is an open standards family for lightweight IT Service Management (ITSM) and the reference framework being used in both EOSC-hub and EOSCpilot projects. Through FitSM, the project aims at conducting effective IT service management in a federated environment and achieving a baseline level of ITSM that can act in support of ‘management interoperability’ in federated environments where disparate organisations must cooperate to manage services. The Foundation level training provides an introduction to the basic IT service management concepts and terms, outlines the purpose and structure of FitSM standards and their relationship to other standards and understand the process framework underlying FitSM, and details the formal requirements defined within it.

The EOSC-hub all-hands meeting offered the opportunity to be trained in FitSM as well as to receive a formal certification backed by certification authority ICO-Cert for anyone successfull passing the exam (20 multiple choice questions, 13 required to pass). Both the costs of the training and the exam  was covered and offered by the EOSC-hub project for free. The training took place on Thursday afternoon (19 Apr) and Friday morning (20 Apr), ensuring minimal overlap with other project meetings.

REGISTRATION IS CLOSED. If you have questions on the event please contact events@eosc-hub.eu
